His research focuses on the neural circuits underlying motor learning in rodents and song birds. Dr. Olveczky is a leader in the field of chronic recording and causal manipulation of neuronal circuits. His work combines state-of-the-art technologies in behaving animals with mathematical modeling to understand the fundamental rules and mechanisms of the learning process.
