The UCI Department of Physiology and Biophysics brings Dr. Ajay Mathuru to present his research on  the neurogenetics of addiction.

“Addiction to substances of abuse is a complex phenomenon with a very large footprint on the global burden of diseases. One interventional strategy is to build an evidence base of the underlying biological and genetic causes. However, the neurogenetics of reinforcing behaviours is still poorly understood.”
