Study Coordinator in Sleep and Cognition Lab
Professor Sara Mednick’s Sleep and Cognition (SaC) Lab at UC Irvine is seeking a full-time, study coordinator. The seven-bedroom, on-campus sleep lab is an exciting research environment that runs both daytime and nighttime studies. The study coordinator oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the lab to include oversight and purchasing of supplies, grants management and lab bookkeeping, general lab organization, maintaining a large corpus of data from EEG, ECG, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and behavioral measures, maintenance of EEG hardware, technical support for laboratory computers. Experience in a management position is necessary. Experience (or willingness to get certified) as a phlebotomist is a plus. This position includes the opportunity to acquire skills on a variety of research methods and techniques, along with mentoring of undergrad and graduate students.
Preference will be given to those with prior related research experiences and/or management experience. The position will start in January 2021 and we are accepting applications in December. We are looking for someone interested in making a long-term commitment to the lab.
